The US comprises 4.25% of the world’s population.
As of today there are 146,236,400 cases of Covid 19 worldwide. 32,735,704 or 23% of those are in the US. 
There have been 3,099,461 deaths worldwide. 585,075 are in the US. That’s 19%.

For perspective, Covid 19 has killed more Americans than the American Revolution, War of 1812, Mexican American War, Spanish American War, Philippine American War, WW1, Korean War, Vietnam War, the 9/11 Attacks, Iraq War, & the Afghanistan War.

Combined. Times two.

Why we are the world leaders in this? 
Because of the amount of time we have to spend trying to convince an inordinately large segment of our population that there actually is a problem, and there actually are experts who know more than they do. 

The virus doesn’t give a fractional fuck about what they think. It doesn’t give a shit about what they’ve chosen to believe, what 4 Chan trolls pretending to be “Q” tell them is happening or political ideologies.

It happily jumps from host to host. Replicating. Mutating.

People die while we try to convince petulant children that what the world needs is more important than what they want. Their opinion is fact & belief in conspiracies is religious. Don’t need evidence when you have that. It just gets in the way. They are special. Enlightened. They have solved the big puzzle while the rest of us are struggling to get the cube into the round hole.

Their logic collapses under the slightest scrutiny, with arguments supported by utter bullshit, but we are stupidly believing “experts” and “science”.

They are the asteroids that will wipe out the human race.
